Provalone P (a.k.a. Xtra Cheese) is the newest addition to the "Specialyst E.N.T." movement. Provalone P hails straight out of the birth place of hip hop, the Bronx, N.Y. When Provalone P was five, Asa Buchanon (his uncle) wrote Provolone P's first 16 bars. Within a short time Provalone P was writing his own raps and even began creating hooks. Growing up on the streets of the Bronx, P found himself getting in and out of trouble, and eventually did some prison time at the young age of 17. 17 months later, at the age of 19, P was released from Greene Correctional Facility, and was ready to get into the recording booth to focus on having his story heard.
Provalone P has a rugged sound, and is known for his catchy hooks in his "jail bars", as he calls them. He has a smooth, soulful side - - some call him the Al Green of hip hop, with the manner that he harmonizes on a track.
Provalone P has performed at various events and clubs. P tore the stage down at Yankee Stadium for a Ruff Ryders car show, touched the stages at the Latin Quarter, the Fight Klub, the Manhattan Center, very recently performed at the Core Djs Retreat in Miami and in the Times Square section of New York City.
Provalone P has an upcoming Ep titled "Xtra Cheese," due to be released in the early part of 2012 on the Specialyst Entertainment label . You can hear Provalone P on the latest Torch (Maybach Music) EP entitled "UFO" (Track #5 , "Dont Care"), as well as various mixtapes appearances. Under the tutelage and influence of Torch, (the Ceo of Specialyst Ent.), Provalone P has been in grind mode. Provolone P is preparing himself to let the world get a taste of that "Xtra Cheese".
