ON THE BLOCK SPORTS WITH @NASTYLOS

Off to Minnesota they go. The NBA players moved their antitrust lawsuit against the owners to the Land of 10,000 Lakes on Monday in hopes they can win their case. I believe they have more than a legitimate shot at winning this thing. Hopefully this will disillusion some owners and force them to sell their teams, particularly James Dolan, owner of the Knicks. He's an idiot.
Minnesota has been the battleground for NFL labor disputes over the years and players have experienced some victories in those lawsuits. The NBA players are hoping to win there as well. As a union worker myself, I'm supporting the players. Stick it to the owners! The owners along with David Stern, have fractured the NBA severely. There are many players that have signed or soon going to be signing, contracts with foreign clubs.
Kenyon Martin is about to sign the largest contract in Chinese league history. His teammates, Wilson Chandler and J.R. Smith are also playing in China. The Gasol brothers, Andrei Kirilenko, Danilo Gallinari, Deron Williams, Joakim Noah, Tony Parker, just to make a few off the top of my head. And then you have Kobe, Durant, Nowitzki, Ginobili and many others mulling offers on the table. The owners thought the players were bluffing. They weren't. They wanted to play ball one way or the other, so they took their talents elsewhere.
In sadder news, the Giants lost a heart breaker to the Eagles and the Jets lost their manhood getting Tebow'd. Every time the Giants lose to the Eagles or the Cowboys, no matter if it's by 15 or 1, it hurts the same. This game in particular was no exception. The Eagles without Mike Vick were supposed to be a lame duck team with that one good running back. Both teams looked like the lame duck team Philly was supposed to be, which means they looked liked the New York Jets. But Vince Young, put together a good drive, in fact, the longest drive since 2002, capped off with a TD pass to Benedict Arnold Steve Smith to put the Eagles ahead for good. Before that last possession where Manning fumbled the ball, the Giants looked good as usual in their 2:00 offense. But for the second week in a row, their efforts fell short. They have a huge game next week. They play the Saints on Monday Night. I'm going to say Giants pull off the upset.
Surprise, surprise, I'm going to write about the New York Jets. They suck. They got Tebow'd. The end.
The Bears might be another team in trouble as they lost their QB Jay Cutler for the remainder of the season when he broke his thumb going for a tackle. You don't see many quarterbacks doing that these days. Usually they make a half assed effort to chase the defender. Hats off to him but it might have cost his team a playoff berth.
This is the first Lions game on Thanksgiving that I am dying to see. They play the undefeated Packers at home and it should be a high scoring game. I like the Lions in this game. Packers give up way too many point through the air and that Stafford-Johnson connection is the hottest shit since Culpepper-Moss. Watch Detroit come away with the upset victory.
As we venture into yet another Thanksgiving, I must stray from what I've been assigned to do here on this website to speak upon it just a bit. Thanksgiving is celebrating the genocide of Native Americans. The sad reality about the United States of America is that in a matter of a few hundred years it has managed to re-write its own history about Thanksgiving into a mythological Disney type of fantasy. This country was founded and became prosperous based on two “original sins," the first being the murder of Native Americans and the theft of their land by European colonialists, the second - slavery.
In this "Disney" saga, the pilgrims found help from the friendly Wampanoag Indians in 1621. But just 16 years later, Massachusetts governor ordered the massacre of thousands of these Native Americans. So much for the short lived "thankfulness" of these European settlers. This event marked the start of the Native American genocide which would take a bit more than 200 years to complete, and of course to achieve its ultimate goal which was to take the land from Native Americans and to systematically plunder their resources. A practice which is still done today by this government in other Plymouth Rocks around the world, e.g., Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, wherein, millions are being left dead in the name of expanding the wealth of the elite.
Thanksgiving is America's Holocaust. Thanksgiving is like Germany celebrating the Holocaust.
This rewrite of history is taught to our children and the lies will continue to spread. We have to be thankful on Thanksgiving. I ask you this, "DO WE REALLY NEED A DAY TO BE THANKFUL?" No. Be thankful every day. Think about the millions of deaths, rapes, murders to men, women, and children as you “be thankful” and enjoy your turkey.
I have to give credit to Gilbert Mercier for his on point view on history.
